Long way to foxholes.

Yesterday we went to place where in WWII was field full of foxholes, after battle thease foxholes were filled with ground and fallen soldiers were burried there. Nowadays this field became forest and can't see traces of foxholes.
We were on two cars Russian UAZ and Hyndai Santa Fe, Hyndai stuck in mud on fiels some 200 meters from good road. UAZ is great car it pulled it out. We decided that better to go together on UAZ.

Road is so bad, that we need to make new road for UAZ.

UAZ also stucked. Decided to dug it out, but no result.

Physics,

Teamwork,

Life expirience

and time

UAZ was pulled out, next problem was fallen tree, axe and tree is gone.

First find was tail of Soviet 120 mm mortar mine. Mortars are very effective against infantry in foxholes.

Next was deep signal, it appeared to be German helmet.

Under helmet were bones, German soldier's legs, he hadn't ID tag, may be flyed away from blast, same blast which destroyed his had.

Next foxhole another two helmets and some other items.

Under thease items again bones, two german soldiers, and in side of foxhole one ID tag, at least one soldier will have his name.

The way back to car.

Than we went to see plane crash palace.

And back home, cleaning spades.

P.S. All soldiers and all items found with them will be burried in German War Cemetery.

  2. No, we are digging for free, we don't pay to anybody and nobody pays to us.
